Contractor Qualifications

  • Ten years in Construction/Remodeling -  Apprenticeship/Trade School a plus
  • 3-5 Years Minimum in Business for yourself
  • No Criminal Records - no Civil Judgments - be willing to do a background check
  • Identity Verification
  • Remodeling Contractors that are "Familiar" with all the Trades
  • Remodeling Contractors that are financially stable and able to produce statement
  • must be established in owning your own vehicle, tools, equipment, etc.
  • Credit score of 700 or above
  • Must be willing to put a profile, picture, web address, liability ins., license on site
  • must be positive owners interested in growing their business and client base
  • All Contractors must be willing to follow Clubhouse-pms protocol and rules
  • Contractors must be willing to agree to our code of ethics-values-vision-mission

 

Club - Contractor Relations

The Relationship

The only relationship Clubhouse-pms has with it's Club Member Contractors deals with the Clubs Preventive Maintenance Program - Clubhouse-pms has the ultimate right to disqualify from the Club any Club Contractor that is not following the Clubs Program the way the Club has designed it.

Clubhouse-pms shall have no claim to any proceeds from any work preformed at any Club Members Home.  The Contractor receives all monies from work performed in the homeowners home.  Clubhouse-pms is not liable for anything the Club Contractor has done-contributed-said-nothing comes back to Clubhouse-pms in anyway-shape or form from the Contractors doing or not doing - Club Contractors are responsible for all of their insurance needs to cover any kind of infraction they have caused or are accused of.  Clubhouse-pms has zero responsibility to the homeowner, the Contractor, the homeowners home, work performed and quality of work.  If anyone

perceives anything differently in any way in this entire website written or implied Clubhouse-pms owners are the only people that has the right to clarify how the perception was meant to be perceived.

If your Company only hangs Drywall - only installs floors - only installs roofing - only installs siding or gutters -- in other words if your Company only does one thing the future says you will have difficulty keeping a steady flow of work for you and your Crews.  Remodeling Contractors have many advantages over these "subs/small Contractors" because they have a better understanding of all the trades - In most cases Remodeling Contractors are familiar with all of the Trades making them very qualified in understanding the Homeowners House from top to bottom - inside and out.  The True Remodeling Contractor still subs out to these smaller Companies but when times are in a down swing they are very capable of doing the job themselves keeping their company and crews working.  Preventive Maintenance has become extremely popular in the last several years - for many reasons - keeping the home in top shape keeps equipment lasting longer - running smoother - Energy bills lower - security higher - health and safety concerns better.  This trend is not going to go away it is only going to get more popular and more refined.  Clubhouse-pms recognizes this trend and understands that the Busy Contractor can't really take on all that's involved so we have developed a monthly Preventive Maintenance System that keeps the Homeowners Home in top shape while supplying the Contractor with an almost permanent customer.  A lot of Contractors are only worried about one thing - Money!  A lot of Contractors don't want to get personal with their customers - A lot of customers feel screwed or ripped off in a lot of cases - the future says the customer wants and needs a Contractor that truly cares about them and their home.  In return once that customer feels the Contractor has taken a special interest in "them and their Home" once they feel they can trust and confide in the Contractor - the Contractor becomes his Friend - The Customer spreads the word of what a great Contractor he has acquired - the Contractor gets more work - more Customers - more money.

The longer the customer stays with the Clubhouse-pms Program (A big part of that is you) the easier it gets for the Contractor -- The Contractor will know the Customers House - when he will need that new roof - when he's thinking about that new kitchen or bathroom remodel - room addition.  Through that bond and trust the Contractor is indeed the front runner in getting the job - that's where the Contractor makes his money in the bigger jobs!

Every month the Clubhouse Contractor goes to the customers Home - he is actually spending an hour of his time for free - The Contractor spends an hour of his time following our Maintenance Program and in most cases there are charges to the customer for certain monthly tests/checks which cover the time spent at the house - all the while suggesting the little thing that need to be done - a lot of times the Homeowner has odds and ends that he really can't get anyone out to do -- the Clubhouse Contractor is glad to do it - not necessarily on that day but scheduled for another day by maybe an employee hired just for that little handyman type work - believe it this keeps the Contractor in the door to the point the customer doesn't want anyone else working at their Home

Clubhouse-pms has nothing to do with your independent business

All Monies Made on the job belong to you - we do not want a "cut" or percentage of any money made - We get our money from Club Members in the form of dues - belonging to the club

We expect the Contractor to follow our program and reap the rewards of being connected to the Homeowner

The Club stands behind the Homeowner and the Contractor always doing the research and investigating new advances in technology in home improvement passing on our findings to both the Homeowner and the Contractor.   Enhancing The Contractors position in the market with knowledge and information for their business which we include in our Program

 

By following our program the Contractor can cut out a lot of research, thought and planning in cultivating new customers.

Remember by joining the Club this is only an add-on to your business

Since we launched our Business Nationally in 2018 we are eager to get Contractors on board.  For Three years starting June 1, 2018 Qualified Contractors are able to join for free.  If you are interested and would like to join all we ask is that you follow the Clubs rules and obligations to our/your customers for the three year period.  If by chance you feel the program is not a good fit for your Company you may bow out -

the only obligation we ask for is to commit for the three year period.  Also if you decide to bow out let us know three months ahead of time which gives us time to acquire another Club Contractor to fill our customers needs in your area

Brief Summary

 

What to expect from each and every customer

 

Client Base

It is both of our jobs to bring customers to the club.  We advertise all over the Country for interested homeowners which are referred by the Club to the closest Club Contractor in the same area that can handle another Client.  When the Contractor feels they have all the Clients they can handle for their area we seek out other Club Contractors interested and help build their Customer Base.  It is also a good start for the Contractor to contact their regular customers to join and as the word gets out before you know it their friends and neighbors are joining too.  A little advertising in your Community always is a good thing.  Once it catches on in the Community you will be swamped with Customers

 

The Monthly Program

With the new Customer the first month is always the most time consuming - expect to spend about 3-4 hours at their Home.

To put this in perspective - In our Contracting Days we have spent 3-4 hours figuring remodel jobs that we ended up not getting.

It's the meet and greet - explanation of how the club works - a Home assessment - pictures - a simple drawing of the layout of the Home - their expectations of the Club and many other things that can be explained later

Sometimes the Contractors wife that understands the Club is a great fit in explaining and going over all of what the Club does to new Customers

 

2nd Month

The second month gets better - following the program will probably take you about 2  hours - depends on the size of the house and you.

 

3rd Month

The third month you can expect about the same time frame as the 2nd month

 

4th Month and Beyond

You will spend no longer than an hour from then on doing the Clubs monthly preventive maintenance schedules

 

Every Month has different maintenance items to check depending on the month - which correlate with the seasons.  After a couple of years you will know the customer and their Home very well and the time spent each month gets even less

 

Don't forget the whole time you are doing the Clubhouse-pms  program you are in the customers Home actually looking for work or things that need fixing and the Homeowner loves to point these things out which can be set up for another day

By belonging to the Club the Contractor also agrees to do these small "handy man" repairs for the Club rate of $35.00 per hour per man plus materials

We Understand that the $35.00 per hour is way below the normal Contractor Charge rate - but don't forget you are cultivating your customer for that big remodel down the road - the big jobs are estimated and not done with the club rates

In a very few months you will develop a long lasting relationship with your home owner so when their bigger jobs come along your almost sure to get the job

Even though the Club suggests Homeowners to get other bids on bigger jobs a lot of times the Homeowner just wants you to do the job

You will have these Customers for life!

 

As Contractors ourselves we have been through the trials and tribulations of starting

and maintaining a successful Remodeling Company - with our growth and longevity we have tried many strategies for - good work performance - customer satisfaction - competitiveness - maintaining good help - working through the feast and famine times - among others.  As we all know in Construction when the going is good - it's usually real good but there are always up and down cycles to deal with no matter how big or small your company is - Clubhouse-pms is actually a solution to many of these  problems.  A lot of Contractors just want the bigger jobs that make the big money.  A lot of times especially with our uncertain economy and all the Contractor Competition a lot of the Contractors are cutting their prices just to get the jobs. In that case sometimes their profit margins are way off.  Sometimes there is no profit margin at all.  Our Club helps eliminate that.  Remember your in a service business - if you want to keep working steady through even the feast and famine times retaining your quality help that has taken so long to cultivate you need to "Keep your Foot in the Door" so to speak.  To do that you need to keep a good relationship with the people that have the money - your customers.  Preventive Maintenance is the direction of the future and with our Program going to the customers home every month to perform our/your preventive maintenance schedules keeps you in the door - doing the sometimes "handyman" type jobs are always good to keep someone employed in your company and by being there for the customer every month - building that trusting relationship with the homeowner - when it comes time to do that bathroom job or kitchen job you've got a better chance of landing the job - who would you want to do your job - someone that you don't know or someone you see every month that is concerned with you and your home - someone you trust!  So our Goal is to keep everyones home the best it can be and keeping the Good Contractors thriving and building their Businesses - Join Us!
